Copenhagen-based menswear brand NN.07 is making a strategic push into the American market, announcing the opening of its first flagship store in the US and a key partnership to spearhead its expansion efforts.
The brand, known for its modern take on wardrobe essentials, has appointed industry veteran Justin Berkowitz as its strategic partner for the US. Berkowitz, a longtime friend of the brand and a champion of NN.07 since its early days, will oversee the opening of the brand’s first US flagship store, slated for this summer in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood at 276 Lafayette Street.
NN.07 CEO Anders Rahr sees the New York store as a significant milestone in the brand’s international growth strategy. “This flagship opening marks a true turning point for NN.07 in the US,” Rahr says. “We have big ambitions for the American market, and having Justin Berkowitz on board is a strategic move that positions us for success.”
Beyond New York, NN.07 plans to open additional branded spaces and flagship stores in key cultural hubs across the US and Europe. The brand emphasizes its commitment to carefully selecting locations and partners who align with its vision and values.
Berkowitz, a former men’s fashion director at Bloomingdale’s, is seen as the ideal partner for NN.07’s US expansion. He’s credited with being the first in the US to introduce NN.07 products to physical stores back in 2016.
“NN.07 offers a compelling value proposition that resonates with today’s consumers,” says Berkowitz. “They provide high-quality, well-designed garments built to last, at a price point that sits above fast fashion but remains accessible compared to luxury brands.”
Berkowitz has been a longtime admirer of NN.07, tracing his interest back to the brand’s early days. “I’m thrilled to partner with them and be part of their exciting journey in the US,” he adds.
NN.07 has been building a loyal following since its 2007 launch with the introduction of the Simon 1000 chinos, designed for everyday wear. The brand gained wider recognition last year when its Gael jacket was featured on the popular TV show ‘The Bear’. NN.07 has also established itself through collaborations with American heritage brands like Timex and Sebago.
With a presence in over 600 premium retailers worldwide, including Mr. Porter, End Clothing, Harrods, and major department stores, NN.07 is poised for a successful entry into the US market with its strategic partnership and flagship store opening.
