LVMH Shakes Up Leadership: Angeloglou Takes Dual Role at Fendi & Fashion Group

Fashnopsis:

  • LVMH promotes fashion industry veteran Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou to CEO of Fendi.
  • Angeloglou retains his current role leading LVMH’s Fashion Group in a strategic move.
  • Serge Brunschwig, Fendi’s outgoing CEO, will take on new responsibilities within LVMH.
  • Angeloglou’s experience is expected to benefit Fendi’s future growth in the luxury fashion market.
  • The move signals a focus on coordinated leadership within LVMH’s fashion division.

In a leadership shakeup at LVMH, Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou is taking the reins at Fendi, the iconic Italian fashion house, effective June 1st. Angeloglou will oversee Fendi while retaining his current role as managing director of LVMH’s Fashion Group, a position he assumed in March.

This dual role signifies a strategic move for LVMH. Angeloglou’s extensive experience positions him well to leverage his understanding of the broader fashion landscape while guiding Fendi’s future success.

Serge Brunschwig, Fendi’s outgoing CEO after six years at the helm, will transition to new responsibilities within LVMH, details of which will be announced soon.

“Angeloglou’s proven track record makes him a strong choice to lead Fendi,” a spokesperson for LVMH is quoted as saying. “His experience across various fashion and beauty powerhouses will be invaluable as Fendi continues to grow and define luxury fashion.”

Prior to joining LVMH, Angeloglou spent over two decades at L’Oreal Group, culminating in his role as global brand president for L’Oreal Paris. In 2019, he transitioned to LVMH, initially serving as Louis Vuitton’s strategic missions director for fashion and leather goods.
