A captivating fashion show titled “Oniricon” unfolded on a Tuesday evening at Milan’s Talent Garden Calabiana. The event served as a platform for emerging talents from the Accademia’s third-year Fashion Design program. Inspired by the whimsical dreamscapes and surrealist visions of Italian filmmaking legend Federico Fellini, the student designers presented a collection that blended ready-to-wear and haute couture pieces.

The 76 looks that graced the runway, designed by 25 Milanese and 5 Roman students, were categorized into three distinct themes: “Funky Town,” “Minimal Chic,” and “Dreamy.” Each outfit served as a unique narrative, expressed through a combination of fabrics, colors, and silhouettes, transporting the audience on a fantastical fashion journey.

High-quality fabrics from Manteco, a renowned textile producer, provided the foundation for the student creations. Manteco even created a special limited-edition label specifically for these student garments.

“The runway was a spectacle of decadent elegance, playful circus vibes, and dreamlike juxtapositions,” remarked Giampiero Mele, Accademia del Lusso’s educational director, in a press release. “The students’ talents truly shone through thanks to the exceptional Manteco fabrics.”

“Oniricon,” Mele continued, “is planned to have a sequel in Rome’s Piazza di Spagna later this year. This event not only celebrated the brilliance of an Italian cinema icon but also served as a vibrant showcase for the future of Italian fashion.”
