Spanish La Liga club CA Osasuna has signed a new technical sponsorship deal with Italian sportswear manufacturer Macron. This six-year partnership, starting July 1st, 2024 and running until 2030, marks a significant shift for the Navarrese team.
Macron Takes the Reins
Previously outfitted by Adidas for nine seasons, CA Osasuna will now sport Macron across all levels of the organization. This includes game kits, training gear, travel wear, and accessories for the men’s first team, Promesas youth academy, grassroots programs, women’s structure, and even the Foundation’s football schools and Interschool Tournament teams.
Expanded Partnership
The agreement extends beyond just supplying apparel. Macron will assume management of both the physical and online CA Osasuna stores, taking over from Smarketing upon their contract conclusion.
Mutual Satisfaction
Club President Luis Sabalza expressed his delight with the deal, calling it “the most important technical sponsorship contract in CA Osasuna’s history.” While financial details remain undisclosed, both parties seem enthusiastic about the partnership.
Macron CEO Gianluca Pavanello highlighted the opportunity to create unique designs that “express the spirit and pride not only of a team, but of an entire people.” This aligns with Macron’s strategy of expanding its presence in La Liga, adding CA Osasuna to their portfolio alongside Real Sociedad.
Macron’s Growing Influence
This deal strengthens Macron’s position in the global sporting goods market. With over 90 professional clubs sponsored internationally and consistent ranking among the top four technical sponsors in European football for five consecutive years (according to UEFA data from 2023), Macron is a force to be reckoned with.
